It is one of the newest approaches of Microsoft to give their users a more advanced experience of cloud computing, combining Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Office, Exchange Online and Lync Online. Cloud computing is having secure access to all your applications and data from any network device. Cloud computing provides computations, data access, software and storage services through a network without the user being aware of the physical location of the configurations of the systems which deliver the services.

It is very helpful for businessmen who move and travel a lot to use applications they need from anywhere they want. Microsoft Office 365 comes with Apps and web based tools which are very easy to learn and use and it also provides security, reliability and the control. Microsoft Office Professional Plus provides software which is similar to the ones available with Microsoft Volume Licensing. The license in Office 365 is renewed on a 30 day cycle. Microsoft Exchange can help manage emails and personal information.  Lync Online is mainly for communication. It provides means of instant messaging audio and video calling and the facilities to hold online meetings that can include sharing of information with colleagues through whiteboards and other communication and collaboration tools.

Microsoft cooperation has made Microsoft Office 365 available in different packages, considering the needs of different type of people in the society. There are differences and modifications and changes of features added according to the Microsoft Office 365 plan the user gets. There are three different types of plans available for the user at present. They are Office 365 for enterprise, Office 365 for small business and Office 365 for education. All these have the same base layout but the features customized for each plan is different. Microsoft 365 enterprise is targeted at businesses with internal or partner supported IT staff. Microsoft Office 365 for small business is dedicated from businesses with no skilled IT staff. And finally Microsoft Office 365 for education is aimed at schools and as a replacement for Office Live@edu service.

It also helps protect your devices from viruses and spam mails. This feature is powered by Microsoft Exchange Online. It comes with a 25GB mailbox with the send capacity of the mail up to 25MB which makes emails easy manage and send. It has a simplified scheduling with a business class security and the user can work from anywhere virtually. Office web applications are powered by Microsoft SharePoint which enables may user to collaboratively edit a document online simultaneously.
